Experience the South African Navy
From the 5-7 March you can experience the SA Navy free of charge! During the SA Navy Festival, more than 100 000 people from all over South Africa go to see what the SA Navy is all about.
Some of the things that you will be able to see at the SA Navy week:
- The Navy ships
- The submarine
- Experience what it is to live and work onboard
- Arena events (dog shows, fire-fighting displays, military brass bands)
- Flea markets
- The Navy Band Drydock concert
- The Freedom of Entry Parade through the streets of Simon’s Town on Saturday morning at 10:00.
During the SA Navy festival, gates open at ten in the morning and close at six in the evening every day.

- Cole Point Gate
- Simon’s Town School
When you come to the SA Navy week, why not see what else the area has to offer? Instead of spending all three days at the SA Navy week you, why not come shark cage diving or viewing:
No diving experience is necessary.
Our trips run from Simons Town. The trips leave at 07h00 and returns at 12h30 weather depending.
All our crew are highly qualified personnel who have spent years working on boats and with sharks.
How much will shark cage diving cost?
The cost is R1, 550.00 Included in the price is the use of dive gear, as well as snacks and refreshments.We require credit card details to secure a booking. Bookings are essential due to limited space.
