Baboon Matters – Walks in Cape Town

Are you interested in the baboons in Cape Town? Baboons have been part of our wildlife in the Cape Peninsula for many years and they roam these areas in large troops. Baboon Matters is a group that was formed in the interest of the baboons in the Cape Peninsula to create awareness for these interesting animals.

During the last couple of years, there has been an increasing amount of conflicts between baboons and man (mainly due to the urbanisation of their natural habitat). When you come for a walk with the baboons, a guide will take you on a tour through the mountains in Cape Town to see the last of the Chacma Baboons in the Cape Peninsula.

Besides the Chacma baboons, you will also be able to see the Da Ga troops and the Kommetjie troops. Our expert guides are familiar with the area and will take you to wherever the baboons in Cape Town happen to be on the day of your tour.
