Experience Cedarberg with hiking trips

Around 200km north of Cape Town lies the Cedarberg Wilderness area, encompassing 71,000 ha of rugged mountainous terrain. It is renowned for its spectacular landscapes and rock formations as well as its namesake, the increasingly rare Clanwilliam Cedar. We offer hiking trips that can be combined with mountain biking in this area!

Some of the animals you will see on your hiking trip to Cedarberg:

  • Baboons
  • Dassies
  • Grey Rheebok
  • Klipspringers
  • Grey Mongoose
  • Striped Polecat

Leopards are also fairly common in this area, although very shy and rarely seen. There are more than 100 bird species in the Cedarberg area, with Black Eagle, Rock Kestrel and Jack Buzzard the most common raptors. You can also look forward to seeing the ancient rock art from the original San inhabitants.

We will set up a hiking trip in Cedarberg according to the following details:

  • Youyr length of stay
  • Size of group
  • Distance to hike each day
  • Budget
  • Degree of difficulty
  • Points of interest' special attractions, additional activities, sight-seeing
