Table Mountain

Table Mountain is a must-see in Cape Town! Even if you are only in Cape Town for one day, you should definitely hike up Table Mountain to see the amazing views of the Mother City.

We arrange hiking trips for a minimum of four people at a type. Our trip includes:

  • Transport
  • Experienced guide
  • Packed lunch

We ascend on a different route to that of Antonio de Saldanha, i.e. India Venster. And with good reason! Our hike will certainly increase your heart rate and the panoramic views of the Mother City will leave you breathless!

India Venster takes us from the lower cable station to the base of Table Mountain. From here one normally has to choose between the easier route of Platteklip Gorge or the somewhat more challenging, but exhilarating route straight-up India Venster.

We descend down either Platteklip Gorge (approximately 1 hr) or via the cable car (3 mins but you have to buy a ticket!)

What to bring on your Table Mountain Hiking trip:

  • Comfortable walking shoes, i.e. hiking boots (no slipslops, please!)
  • Shorts or trousers (no skirts, please!)
  • A sweater/windbreaker ( Table Mountain can get chilly!)
  • Sunscreen (anything above SPF 30)
  • A small backpack
  • A cap
  • A water bottle
