Directions to Simonstown from Cape Town

Take the M3 out going from Cape Town to Muizenberg. At the end of the free way turn left at the traffic  intersection. At the end of the road, at the traffic lights, turn right onto Main Rd (M4) to Muizenberg.

The Main Rd will take you through Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek (you are traveling along the False Bay coast with the sea on your left hand side). At the end of the Fish Hoek main road, you will reach a large traffic circle, keep on the left to Simons Town.

Once in Simons Town, you will get the Navy buildings and a red brick wall on the left and shops on your right.

Your first road to your left will be WHARF road. It will lead you to the quayside, where you can park. The boat will be at the end of the jetty. Other Landmarks in Wharf road are the Salty Sea Dog Restaurant on your left and on your right side the post office and our shop

There is one major highway out of the airport - the N2, which leads directly to central Cape Town.   Follow this road (±15 minutes) until you see signboards indicating the M3 turn-off to Kirstenbosch-Muizenberg (Landmark – big mountain straight ahead of you!)

The M3 highway at times looks like an ordinary main road with traffic lights and different road names (e.g. Edinburgh Drive) and you will travel through suburbs such as Rondebosch, Newlands and Constantia, but just keep following the signs to Muizenberg and don’t turn off until you literally reach the end of the freeway.

At the off-ramp turn left, again the sign points to Muizenberg. At the end of the road, at the traffic lights, turn right onto Main Rd (M4) to Muizenberg.

The Main Rd will take you through Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek (you are traveling along the False Bay coast with the sea on your left hand side). At the end of the Fish Hoek main road, you will reach a large traffic circle; keep on the left to Simons Town.
