About African Shark Eco-Charters

African Shark Eco-Charters is the ultimate company for shark trips. We offer cage diving, cage snorkeling and natural predation trips.

We run our trips from Simonstown, only 40 min from Cape Town. Being situated in Simonstown, means you can see the sharks, visit the penguins and even Cape Point Nature reserve all in one day!

False Bay is unique for its jumping great whites and we where the first to ever document the famous flying great whites of Seal Island. As our groups are small we are able to provide an intimate experience with the sharks as well as having the opportunity to pass on our passion and knowledge of the area and the sharks.

Our company is very different from other shark cage companies, as we do not cater for huge volumes, but focus on smaller groups where we can personally spend time with our guests teaching and relaying our passion and knowledge of the sharks. Our trips are also different as they are at least from 5.5 to 8 hrs, as opposed to the normal 3 hr trips, so you can really spend some good quality time at sea with these super predators.

We have done over 40 documentaries and films, and when National Geographic, The BBC and Discovery Channel want to see sharks, we are the guys they come too.

We offer Blue Water Adventure trips, in which we head off Cape Point in search of the Mako & Blue Sharks. You can also do some game fishing for tuna while we wait for the sharks. This is a unique trip and we are the only company to offer it in South Africa.
