Get As Close to the Great White Sharks as Possible in Summer
The great white sharks move away from Seal Island, False Bay Simon’s Town in Summer, (Oct-Jan), and so I would recommend booking you in Gansbaai for a summer shark trip. We run our Simon’s Town shark trips from mid –February, to the end of September.
Our recommended shark cage diving operator in Gansbaai launches from Kleinbaai harbour at 8:30am during the summer months and returns at about 13:30pm. However, these times are a guideline and it is advised you contact the operator at 15:00pm the day before the proposed launch to confirm times and weather conditions. Punters are guaranteed small groups on the tour meaning more quality time can be spent in the cage viewing the sharks.
